Boy wonder Marc Jacobs has found one more genre to take over, Cosmetics! Yep, he now has teamed up with the Sephora Originals brand and is launching his Marc Jacobs make up line. If you couldn't afford a bag or clothes before, you can now wear his logo on your lipstick. The 122 piece collection is amazing. It is broken down in four categories: Smart Complexion foundation and powder, Blacquer eyeliner and lash lifter, Hi-Per Color lip products and eye shadow, and Boy Tested, Girl Approved unisex essentials ( which is GENIUS). One of the hottest items to look for is the Brow Tamer Grooming Gel, with hopes to look like Cara Delevingne, I'll be buying 2 or more. Marc Jacobs Beauty will launch on August 9, Some Sephora stores will debut a pre-launch party on July 19.
Explaining his decision to expand into makeup, Marc says:
"I like the transformative qualities of fashion and fashion to me is not just clothing, it’s handbags, it’s shoes, it’s clothes, it’s hair, it’s makeup, it’s fragrance, it’s the whole ritual of making those choices, of enjoying the ritual, of making the choices that will tell the world who you want to be that day."
